“10 Ways to customize and make Windows your own”

Customizing the appearance of your Windows 10 computer can help make it feel more personalized and suited to your preferences.

1. Changing the Wallpaper:
Right-click on the desktop and select “Personalize.”
Under the “Background” section, choose a picture from the provided options or click on “Browse” to select your own image.
You can also set the picture position (Fill, Fit, Stretch, etc.) and choose whether the image changes at a set interval.
You can also right click on a image file in explorer and click “Set as desktop background”.

2. Changing the Colours:
While still in the “Personalize” menu, go to the “Colours” section.
Choose an accent colour that will be applied to various elements, like the Start menu, taskbar, and window borders.
You can also enable the “Automatically pick an accent colour from my background” option to have Windows select a colour that complements your wallpaper.

3. Themes:
Windows 10 comes with a variety of themes that include coordinated wallpapers, colours, and sounds. You can choose from these or download additional themes from the Microsoft Store.
Go to “Settings” > “Personalization” > “Themes” to explore and apply different themes.

4. Taskbar Customization:
Right-click on the taskbar and choose “Taskbar settings.”
Here, you can adjust options like taskbar location, lock the taskbar, and customize which icons appear on the taskbar.

5. Start Menu Customization:
Right-click on the taskbar and select “Taskbar settings.”
Scroll down and click on “Start” to customize the Start menu appearance.
You can choose to show more tiles, customize which folders appear, and control other Start menu settings.

6. Icon Styles:
To change the size of desktop icons, right-click on the desktop and choose “View.” Then, select between “Small icons,” “Medium icons,” or “Large icons.

7. Mouse Pointers:
In the “Personalize” menu, click on “Mouse pointer settings” located on the right side.
Under the “Pointers” tab, you can choose different cursor styles.

8. Fonts:
You can adjust font settings in “Settings” > “Personalization” > “Fonts.”
Windows 10 allows you to change the default font size and font family used for various text elements.

9. Screensaver:
In the “Personalize” menu, click on “Screen saver” located at the bottom-right corner.
Here, you can choose a screensaver and adjust its settings.
